The Double Dog Dare
Rube Goldberg Machine Contest

Rube Goldberg machines play an important role in Double Dog Dare, and they are fun to make, too. To celebrate the release of my new book, Philomel Books and I hosted a special RUBE GOLDBERG MACHINE CONTEST, to see who could build the weirdest, wackiest machine ever!

There were so many spectacular entries, and we were incredibly impressed with all of them, but these two groups took the cake, and walked away with the grand prize!

The winners of the small group category are . . .
Third-graders Greg, Jack, Joey, Sam, and Wren, from Somers, NY!
